30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ENTRY INTO FORCE OF THE EURASIAN PATENT CONVENTION
September 9 marks a significant date: 30 years since the entry into force of the Eurasian Patent Convention, signed in Moscow in 1994. This important step laid the foundation for the creation of the Eurasian Patent Organization, aimed at the legal protection of industrial property in the countries of the region.
In honor of the anniversary, a gala event was held at which congratulations were received on this significant occasion.
Inventors and entrepreneurs from around the world can now secure patents for their developments and designs in eight countries in the region, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, by virtue of the Eurasian Patent Convention. This creates novel prospects for the protection of intellectual property and innovation in Eurasia.
